The department of Philosophy in the Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to make three new level B appointments to begin in February 2012. Philosophy recently received a national ranking of 4 out of 5 in the government conducted ERA exercise, making it one of the best-performing research institutions in the discipline in Australia. The areas of specialisation for these positions is open, but preference may be given to candidates with expertise in the following areas: epistemology, logic, philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, philosophy of language, metaphysics, moral philosophy, and the history of philosophy.

Remuneration: $73,444 to $87,212 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
