About the position

Reporting to the School Administration Coordinator, this position will provide general administrative services to support the operations of the school and will have responsibility for the provision of high quality customer service and high-level administrative support services and advice to assist in the effective and efficient administration of the School. 

Support the key business activities of the School by working closely with the University’s central service areas and Office of the Provost and School staff, as required, to facilitate and deliver the timely and effective responses to key support tasks which may include but are not limited to:

    • Timely and accurate collection of a range of data
    • Providing executive support to School Committees
    • Supporting the recruitment of casual staff
    • Desktop publishing and document formatting
    • Developing collaborative working relationships with the key stakeholders and maintaining currency of policy and process for tasks this position undertakes

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

  • Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, follow established procedures with limited supervision and contribute positively to an effective team.
  • High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
