About the position
Reporting to the Network Securities and Services Manager, this position is instrumental in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the network security infrastructure. The Senior Network Security Engineer provides expert technical leadership, oversees network security projects, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to advance the university's network security posture.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- A degree with substantial extension of the theories and principles, learned through experience; or a range of management experience; or postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
- A solid understanding of modern enterprise network security architecture principles, including designing, configuring, and optimising network security topologies to meet organisational information security requirements and industry best practice.
- Technical expertise and leadership to design, implement, and optimise network security solutions that meet the university's requirements and objectives.
- Collaboration and teamwork to work effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to university-wide initiatives in network security services and infrastructure.
