About the position
La Trobe University is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Coordinator, Academic Services to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating student lifecycle functions, overseeing workflow management, and delivering key priorities as part of the Academic Services team.
As a Senior Coordinator, you will provide specialist support for complex student issues, lead continuous process improvements, and manage a team to ensure the seamless delivery of student administration services. This role requires innovative problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and effective leadership in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
This role provides expert advice and support to university stakeholders on a range of student-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate student lifecycle functions and workflows, from enrolment to graduation.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to resolve complex issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Monitor and refine procedures to enhance efficiency and quality control.
- Lead and manage staff, including performance reviews, training, and development.
- Collaborate with professional and academic staff to support continuous improvement.
- Engage stakeholders across the university to implement policy and process changes.
- Provide expert advice on student administration and coordinate major projects.
- The position may also require engagement with other areas of Academic Services as necessary.
Essential Criteria
- An undergraduate degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Proven experience in team leadership and staff management.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative methodologies.
- Experience in managing complex student administration processes.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and agile adaptation in a tertiary environment.
