About the Role

This ongoing position plays a pivotal role in enhancing graduate employment outcomes and embedding employability across the student experience. As Manager, you will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of sector-leading programs like Career Ready Advantage, designed to develop students’ career management skills and improve industry engagement.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and industry partners, you will guide a team of professionals and drive innovation in employability initiatives, supporting La Trobe’s strategic objectives and commitment to student success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of employability and career development programs.
  • Strategically support schools and business units to integrate employability within curricula and co-curricular opportunities.
  • Use data and industry trends to innovate program content and delivery.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team delivering student-facing employability services.
  • Champion inclusive and accessible approaches across physical and digital campuses.

Skills and Experience

  • A relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent combination of experience and education in career development, education, HR, or organisational development.
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering employability or professional development programs.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Proven ability to innovate and solve complex problems using evidence-based approaches.
