About the position
This position involves using evidence-based methods to develop and evaluate teaching initiatives, contributing to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) at La Trobe University by sharing best practices, and coordinating and teaching subjects to deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences across diverse formats.
Responsibilities also include providing fair and timely feedback to students, participating in innovative curriculum design and review, especially in online and blended delivery, embedding employability skills into the curriculum, seeking funding for teaching improvements with mentoring support, fostering local knowledge transfer and relationships, serving on departmental and school committees, adhering to university policies, and undertaking additional duties as directed by academic leadership.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- PhD degree in Chemistry or closely aligned discipline
- demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and subject coordination in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes.
- evidence of innovative initiatives using cutting edge approaches undertaken in the last three years that have improved the student experience.
- demonstrated ability or potential to engage with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)
