La Trobe University’s regional campuses are central to our mission to improve lives and communities through education, research and partnership. We now have an outstanding opportunity for a collaborative, outcomesdriven senior leader to join us as Head of Campus, AlburyWodonga.
Reporting to the Pro ViceChancellor (Regional), this is a highimpact executive leadership role with responsibility for shaping La Trobe’s presence, performance and partnerships across the AlburyWodonga region and surrounding communities in Victoria and New South Wales.
About the role
As Head of Campus, you will be La Trobe’s principal representative in the region, providing visible, authentic leadership and strengthening the University’s reputation, influence and contribution to regional growth.
You will:
Lead the strategic and operational performance of the AlburyWodonga campus across education, research, staff and student experience
Build deep, reciprocal partnerships with government, industry, schools, TAFE, community organisations and alumni
Drive initiatives that respond to regional workforce needs, critical skills shortages and equity participation
Provide strong financial, resource and people leadership aligned to the University’s strategic and operational plans
Contribute as a senior leader to Universitywide strategy, collaboration and transformation
This role operates in a complex, crossborder environment and requires a leader who thrives on influence, partnership, and delivering outcomes through collaboration.
What you’ll bring
You will be a confident and credible senior leader with a strong record of success in complex organisations, ideally within higher education, public sector or similarly regulated environments.
You will demonstrate:
Proven executive leadership capability, with the ability to set direction, inspire performance and lead through change
Outstanding stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, including experience working with diverse community, government and industry partners
Strong strategic, financial and operational management experience, including accountability for significant budgets and resources
Excellent judgement and decisionmaking in complex, ambiguous and politically sensitive environments
A commitment to inclusive leadership, integrity and fostering a highperforming, valuesled culture
