 About the position

Reporting to the Network Securities and Services Manager, you will collaborate across departments, provide technical expertise, and work on projects and respond to incidents, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the university’s security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and optimise enterprise network security solutions to meet the university’s requirements and objectives.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of the network security infrastructure.
  • Work on network security projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with standards.
  • Own and resolve network security incidents effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement university-wide network security initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with information security standards and industry best practices.

 

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • A degree with substantial extension of the theories and principles, learned through experience; or a range of management experience; or postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
  • A solid understanding of modern enterprise network security architecture principles, including designing, configuring, and optimising network security topologies to meet organisational information security requirements and industry best practices.
  • Relevant network security certifications and accreditations.
  • Technical expertise to design, implement, and optimise network security solutions that meet the university's requirements and objectives.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork to work effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to university-wide initiatives in network security services and infrastructure.
