About the position

Join the Australian Autism Knowledge Hub, a national initiative established under the National Autism Strategy to strengthen the translation of autism research into practice, policy and community impact.

Led by the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre (OTARC) at La Trobe University, the Hub brings together research, community knowledge and practice expertise to deliver accessible, evidence informed resources that improve outcomes for Autistic people and the broader autism community. As Project Officer, you will provide project coordination, governance, reporting and operational support across a diverse portfolio of projects, while contributing to evidence synthesis, knowledge translation and the delivery of high-quality resources. Depending on experience and Hub priorities, the successful candidate may also contribute to communication, knowledge translation, digital content, and operational activities that support the delivery and accessibility of Hub outputs and resources.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

  • Provide project coordination, operational, reporting, governance, communication and administrative support across a range of Hub projects, including maintaining project plans, tracking milestones and supporting delivery of activities.
  • Support project governance processes, including attending project and working group meetings, preparing agendas and papers, taking minutes, tracking actions and following up on deliverables.
  • Coordinate project reporting activities, including collating data, monitoring progress against milestones, contributing to reports, briefs and updates for internal and external stakeholders, and supporting financial administration through monitoring project budgets, tracking expenditure, coordinating invoicing and payment processes, and liaising with Finance to support accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of project tools, templates and processes to support consistent and high-quality project delivery.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements, including scheduling, logistics and preparation of materials.
  • Contribute to the development, formatting, coordination and maintenance of Hub communication and knowledge translation materials, including website content, accessible summaries, briefing materials, presentations, templates, and digital resources if required.
